I installed my aftermarket electrical oil pressure gauge a couple nights ago at the stock location. I have a sandwich plate and wanted to keep the stock idiot light functioning so I installed the stock oil pressure sensor in the sandwich plate.
The problem is the idiot light is not working at all now weather the wire to the sensor is connected or not. I thought at first it was because the sensor now was not grounded but it still should be bc of the nut on the sandwich plate that holds it to the stock oil filter nipple. I also me have put too much teflon tape on the threads so it may nopt be grounded very well. I havent tested any of these theories but wanted some input if anyone esle has reloced the stock oil pressure sensor and their outcome.
