I am buying half of a injen cai off of a guy and I was wondering if I can just run it as an sri. I've heard it will throw the maf off. I am replacing the stock plastic.

Thanks guys. Also he has two silicone pieces for it. Will I need another to attach the maf to the filter or will the filter attach right to the maf?

I currently have the injen cai set up as a sri. Only difference is I relocated my MAF. You'll definately notice a difference in spool up time and the way your turbo sounds once its boosting.

As far as messing up your MAF readings with turbulent air, if your using the actual Injen filter than comes with the cia, you'll be ok. That particular filter was designed using the same idea as velocity stack. So this filter in particular (also other higher end filters i.e. AEM, K&N, etc) should channel the air through the filter with minimal turbulence. But cheap Ebay or Auto Zone filters are a different story.
