I want to upgrade my '10 CX-9 to Sirius

Glad I found this forum. We just bought/leased a 2010 CX-9 and after less then 500 miles it has already been in the shop for a week requiring a new transfer case or something in the front with the AWD. Hope to find answers here to some questions.

We have a Siruis ready head unit and was hoping to buy a universal converter from Sirius and install it but after getting it I was informed that it would not work. Is my only non-visible option to buy one of the conversion units from a dealer for $300? Someone told me the converter on the Sirius site for Alpine radios is the same but I am kind of skeptical about that. What do you guys know?

I went to the dealer to get one and I was told it will cost about $700. I have also heard that best buy offers one for about 200 that connects to the factory unit.

BTW.....you must purchase the install kit too.....I bought one for my 2010 3 S Hatchback from the above link and installed it myself.....works great ! HTH
