HTC One and USB

When I hook my AT&T HTC One phone up to the USB connection in the center console nothing happens. The USB tab on the head unit stays grayed out. If I hook my iPhone up to it it works and I can browse my music. On the HTC One this does not happen?

Any ideas?

When you hook up an Android phone via USB, you have to choose a proper model of communication.
It is likely under Settings.

Found out what the issue is. Android "Jelly Bean" uses a new file system (MTP) , the device will no longer mount as removable storage so the car will not recognize it. No work around as of yet. This is a problem due to the OS itself, not the car.

Streaming over Bluetooth works well though.
