how much would an engine build cost?

Hey guys. I am debating if whether or not i want to keep my mazda mp3. I was thinking about rebuilding the motor, but i'm not sure how much that would cost so i want your opinions. Assuming that my cylider walls are ok, how much would an enigine rebuild cost in order to change into forged pistons and rods? Thanks

really man... just depends on how in depth you go with the set up. If you are just looking for a built block.. then I know PG and Speed Circuit (I think is the name) sells them for around 4k.. last time I checked which was a while ago. Or you could just get the pistons/rods and then have a machine shop put them in for ya.. the rods/pistons would be around 1500.00 and then added hardware would be around 300-400 more and I have no idea what a machine shop would charge ya. Ive never journied down that road before.

It runs about $5000 installed start to finish.
Labor for removing engine, teardown, machine work, assembly, and reinstallation + parts.
