How long till your MPG peaked on a new 3?

I picked up a new iGT two weeks ago and did my first semi long road trip yesterday and averaged 36mpg on mostly highway miles. I'm wondering how long it's taken most of you to achieve what you'd consider your best average, I've heard it will be achieved anywhere from the first oil change up to 10,000 miles.

From what I read in magazines, it should be around 10k miles.

Now that you mentioned, i just noticed an increase in mpg.
My car has 12000 kilometres...

Ive put about 2400ish miles on my 6sp iGT, mostly city @ 28.6mpg. I hope it gets better!
