Has anybody ever purchased or heard any good things from carxenonhidkits.com. I want a good kit and im torn between these guys and DDM Tuning.

Please help me fellow mazda zoomers!

I have been running my DDM 6k kit for a year. NOT ONE COMPLAINT. Price was fantastic and everything is perfect. DO NOT get the 55w kit. get the 35w kit. standard ballast you need nothing else. Get some 3M double sided tape as well to find a place to mount the ballast. Thats it.

ya awesome, thks for info. I have 07 mazda 3 hatch gt as well with stock halogens. wats wrong with 55w kit? can u send me pics of the 6k at night? do they take long to brighten up? I assume u have the low beam kit?

thanks for helpin!

55w is too much for the ballast. 35w is perfect. i dont have a pic but its a nice white blue. not very blue like 8k. fully lightens up in about 35 seconds or less. and yes low beam. HIDs for high beam makes no sense.

Just a question for both of you guys. I'm looking to get an HID kit as well. However, my current housings are so yellowed over, I don't think spending the money on a conversion kit will help much. So I'm planning to go all out on housings and bulbs in one go. Here are my options:

OR

Any insight? Also would I need the 'Warning Cancelers', and what are those, anyway? Lol.

You don't need warning cancelers. Those are for cars that throw a bulb out warning light in the dash if a bulb lower than 55W is installed or burn out.

Aftermarket headlamps are not very good. Plus the HID kits in your two links are really cheap bad quality kits made in China.

Restore your headlights with this: http://www.xenonexpert.com/philips-headlight-restoration-kit/ and get a decent kit that won't let you down in 2 months: http://www.xenonexpert.com/volt-hid-conversion-kit/

In the end it will cost you less and you'll have better parts :)

Hey, thanks! I'll actually order the restoration kit next paycheck. And then I'll look into getting the conversion kit afterwards! On your website I noticed that you've got bulb colors with the K ratings (I didn't see anything that pertained to 6000K - clear white). But I'm assuming that the higher you go the more colored it becomes? I'm wanting just a clear white that'll improve visibility, so anywhere from 4300-6000K for white and best visibility? Also I would be interested in high and low beams. Would you mind giving me a quick run-down on the bulb formats that offer them? (e.g. H4, H13, and 9004)

No problem! K rating represent the colour of the light. 3000K will be yellow. All factory HID are 35W 4300K. Color Temperature is a measurement in Degrees Kelvin that indicates the hue of a specific type of light source. Many people believe the misconception that colour temperature is a rating of the brightness of the bulb or HID kit. This belief is completely false. The reality of the matter is that the higher the colour temperature, the less use able light output you will obtain. A perfect example would be a black light. This light has a colour temperature of approx 12,000k and has almost no useable light or lumens output.

4300K: Bright white - Used in OEM HID applications. The brightest HID kit that we sell.
5000k: Crisp white - Bright white output with a slight bluish hue
6000k: Bright white with a slight bluish/purplish tinge

I wouldn't go over 6500K personally if you want the most light output.

Low beams are H7 and high beams are 9005

Hope this helps! :)
