just signed up today, although i have been here over and over again for help through ready'd threads.

i was wondering, i have the pro-LX 2.0 automatic.(yes i know...)
and i don't know much about engine swaps, but how much hp total would the car have with the KL-ZE v6 engine.

i've seen them at JDM-imports used for around 850-900$ with around 40k kilometres. but is this a good price?
what else will need to be replaced?
what do you expect the labor cost will be?

the horsepower gains from that v6 may not be enough to offset the weight gain. also it may throw off the balance of your car. look for the 2.3l supercharged miller v6, its lighter, more fuel efficient and more powerful, and im pretty sure they dont go for much more than the 2.5.

here is a JDM one on ebay

the klze makes close to 200hp. a big upgrade from the 90 your making to the wheels right now.

if your going to swap engines, make sure you also go manual

yeah, i was thinking maybe i could find one with the transmission included.
ty for your help.

but if it stays auto would it really make a huge difference?
i've actually seen some turbo'd cars where the auto version shaves milliseconds of the manual 1/4 mile time.

i have heard the auto's transmission is weak though =/

wow that engine is like litterally 20km away from me, i wouldn't even need shipping, ty

No prob! You may be right about the auto though, might even be worth just buying a millenia lol

didn't think of that, but yeah i guess if you found a wreck or something, it would have both the engine and transmission in it. Or you could go rotary :)

my dumbass mechanic wouldn't know his way around the rotary.
i think i have my eyes on the kj
