My 2010 3 heater is always hot and I am not able to regulate. It has been like this since day one (bought new). Two dealers and 1000 miles logged trying to get fixed with no results. Dealers say all Mazda 3 are like this. (My 2006 Mazda 3 was not.) Last ticket stated I must use the a/c to control heat but this did nothing, still hot, and the first I have ever heard of this type of solution.

Has anyone had this problem?

I love love my car, just wanna control the heat.

This happened to me on my P5, turned out to be the control cable coming out of the climate control came loose from its anchor point and wouldn't turn the plate for the climate to cold, and when I did eventually get it to cold I couldn't get it back to hot. Had to go behind the controls and rehook the anchor for the cable (just removed the glovebox and it was visible in my car, unsure about yours). Don't know if it is the same problem, but I figured I'd give you my experience...
