Heated windshield wiper mod?

Sick of having iced up wipers, as they 'park' below where the defrost is on the windshield.

Wondering if the heated elements are part of the windshield or if it's just another option that's prewired but not installed (like the foglights). Maybe even just an addition of a fuse?

I was looking for a wiring diagram or fuse information, but have come up empty handed.

Anyone have any ideas?

There are heating elements similar to the rear defogger around the bottom and sides of the windshield on my '19 signature (IIRC)

So you can see them in the glass of the windshield?

yes. The elements are positioned where the wipers rest. There is also connector on the windshield at its bottom which connects to another plug in the engine bay under the covers.
