GT leather sears

I recall making a post about this before. Oh well.

The perforated part is leather. The bolsters that touch your body is leather including the 1-2" wide section next to it on the bolsters. The ultimate sides, back, and entire headrest is not leather.

The rear seats with perforations are leather. The area next to it is also leather, but the outer bolsters are not. The center seat is vinyl and so are the head rests.

If there is one place of concern for leather/vinyl wear is the driver's seat outter bolsters next to the door. Especially the leg bolster. That includes the leather and the vinyl side that gets folded while compressed. Eventually with repeated fatigue, it will crack. To lengthen the life time of the vinyl, keep it cleaned from body oils and dirt that dries and cracks the polyurethane (material used for artificial leather). Keep the leather cleaned and hydrated by misting it with a spray bottle and wiping it once a week or every other week. No need for chemical cleaners, unless you have stubborn long set fabric dye stains or other stains. Then you can use a dedicated automotive leather cleaner. Not much use in conditioning the leather as it is finished and seal in urethane and won't provide much penetration of conditioners. Though it is recommended to use a dedicated high quality automotive leather conditioner/protectant to keep dirt and oils from penetrating the urethane surface through extended time and abrasion.
