Getting homeland programmed, any tips for a Genie ?

Hi guys,

I tried unsuccessfully to program our garage door opener to the CX-5 homelink yesterday. (GT with tech package).


We have a Genie Powerlift 900 for the garage.

Have any of you experience with setting this combination up ? If so it would be appreciated.

Make sure the car is outside the garage, NOT in it. If that doesn't worg, call the mfgrs 800 help line. They're very good!

Which mirror is the factory one? I have an aftermarket Gentex mirror, that I have transferred from my previous car. It can't be the same? Maybe you can look up the manual, for the Gentex mirror.

I didnt have any problem programming both sides..... go by the manual carefully I suppose...
