I agree with the sign. my grandparents came to this country and learned to speak english in order to survive. we still speak the native toungue at home and family gatherings but if you live in America you need to learn to speak passable english.
As someone has already pointed out there is not an official language in the US. this is fine but the US revolves around business and government and the law's of the land is written in english so by default this is our offical non offical language.

in PR people learn spanish and english, hell i kno wpeople here that learn spanish so they can have more customers, yeah but i think if they live here they should learn, Dame un cheesesteak con Papas Fritas Por Favooooooor
