Gauge Sweep

A novelty, but something nonetheless bad-ass.

When my battery died, and I couldn't start the car, the Tac, Fuel, Speed, and Temp gauges all did a sweep (similar to a Scion or Bugatti).

Is there a diagnostic mode or some way to force this that anyone knows of?

Its just too cool to not look at every day.

dont mention scion and bugatti in the same sentence it doesnt belong together hahahaha nope theres no way to force that to happen(someone would've figured it out already) except kill the battery again like you said.

I recorded it on my cell phone. I could MMS it or post it on here or something if someone was interested. Its possibly the most glorious thing on earth. I'd take it over sex......... is that bad?

There is a diagnostic mode that sweeps the gauges, but only one at a time.

Press and hold trip meter button. Turn on ignition still holding button until the trip meter area displays tESt, then release the button. The display will then show a test number. Push the trip button to cycle through the tests
08 Lights on relay, displays on or off with light switch
12 Speedometer to full scale then to 60
13 Tachometer to full scale then to 3000
14 Buzzer sounds
16 Fuel-level warning light flashes 3 times
22 Fuel gauge sender reads 0 to 255 depending on fuel level
23 Fuel gauge cycles F -> -> E -> F
25 Water temperature gauge cycles H -> center -> C -> H
26 Turns on every light on the instrument panel
50 Reads 0, dis. I dont know what this means
51 Mine reads 7.9 dis. I dont know what this means
55 Dimmer switch reads state of the button between speedo and tach
60 -- Reads 0, dis. I dont know what this means
63 End of test
