Found this excellent wiring schematic that is interactive, and gives the resistance readings needed between pins to operate the cruise via the data BUS network.

May need to disable Javascript to open it up.

Also every service manual for just about every car is here.. hehe.

I just bought an '11 Mazda2, traded in my 09 Mazda3... it's just such a fun little car, I grin like a big fat doofus every time I drive it.

Can't access the manuals without a login...

Yes, but you still need the Touring steering wheel, or at least the controls off of it. No one to our knowledge has tried to swap wheels on a Sport model to see if the ECU is even programmed/unlocked to allow cruise.

True... or you could add your own buttons and some resistors to the sport wheel to replicate the touring wheel. Might need to buy the cruise control button assembly for the wiring.

Just thought i'd chip in here, our steering wheels here in the uk are pretty much the same just have black blanks where buttons fot better models would usually be, im having a guess here but i think the 1.3 tamura has same steering wheel as the 1.5 sport, but minus few extras. Somebody may have to do some more research to be 100% sure. Ill have a nose around on web see what i can find.
