Car and Driver, in terms of comparison to Accord:

"While well have to wait for the inevitable comparison test to fully tease out the facts, we can tell you that in comparison to the excellent new Honda Accord, every input in the 6 requires slightly more effort and feels sportier. And where the Honda seems to float on the road, the Mazda feels more intimately involved with the tarmac."

Looks good, let's hope the U.S. version stays true, including this:

Even the trunk looks good:

It would make no sense for Mazda not to bring the 6 with a manual option. I think its very probable they will bring it considering they have a CX-5 manual which probably has a smaller take rate than the 6 equipped with the same tranny. Also brings base price down to a more attractive number.

I'm still really hoping the diesel engine makes its way through to our market. I've heard its been confirmed, but I guess I'll only be satisfied when I see one in person, or buy one :D.

according to motortrend. mazda might build a mazdaspeed version.. could also be 2 doors.. cant wait to see it.. im already liking what i see in the new one..

if they are going to build a Mazdaspeed version I suggest they hurry up and let us know before I trade my Accord in for a 2013 Accord V6 touring. I would much rather have a 6 speed manual awd Mazda again. But I'm going to be honest, the new Accord is VERY VERY good and up here in Canada we get a better touring edition with 18's wheels and few other things. I'd imagine I am not the only person cross shopping these 2 cars.
