Failed Inspection

[Decibel]

For an airbag light being on. I bought it after it was re-wired from a friends dad and I the airbag light was on and as of October first in Mass, it is a safety default on your inspection (I did not know this)

I find that the harness is unplugged from the module and plug it in, I go to start the car and the ignition fuse is blown. So I replace it, then my light fuse blew. I unplugged the module and then replaced the fuses and it runs again. So now I have no idea WTF the deal is and I just brought it down to the dealership... not looking forward to paying them if this is something I can handle myself

Any ideas?

Sounds like friends dad didn't wire something correctly. Glad it didn't deploy the airbags or anything crazy like that. That would be a mess.

Why was it re-wired? It sounds like there are some electrical gremlins prowling about.

no joke...the gremlins are laughing at you my friend.......
and i thought my old s10 was bad......i use a cig lighter:the dome light would come on, horn fuse would blow, and the radio wouldn't work????


edit: find out what it was he 're-wired' sounds like he got a ground crossed with one of the airbag wires
