Engine Tilt normal?

I have a 2005 Mazda 3 w/ 2.3L engine and automatic transmission. When idling in gear at a stop there is a low pitch audible vibration coming from the engine compartment. Upon visual inspection, the engine tilts (visually noticeable rotation) forward when shifted into reverse, and backward when shifted into drive. Is that normal? Could the 2 'symptoms' (vibration & engine tilt) be related?

Many thanks to all you helpful DIYer's,

maybe check motor mounts they maybe going out, does it vibrate when you start moving until like 1k rpm?

I would have to say it's bad motor mount/s. The engine will tilt/rotate when in gear to a degree, but since you have a vibration also I would venture a guess that you have at least a bad rear mount.

See if there is specs on to how much play there should be. also you can check the mounts to see if they are making the noise.
