EGR Tube/pipe

Is anyone here running their MSP without the EGR tube/pipe? Does it affect the driveability of the car?...cel..etc? Upon changing my exhaust gasket I striped the egr tube's nut and the connector's thread. I am thinking about plugging both ends of the EGR ports. But before I do, I am looking for advice from the forum. Thanks.

I've heard of people doing it but I couldn't tell you the effects as I haven't done it myself

You can put a filter on the EGR tube leading to the EGR valve and plug the port on the turbo manifold. It may read as a vacuum leak but I know other people have done it.

I plugged the manifold and filtered the side that goes into the intake. No problems at all. It is on an NA car tho
