Any of you have any suggestions. I dont know if it is worth it to swap anything, or should i just get this noise to go away and just trade the fucker in.

Any good mazda tech around the area? For the exception of Mazda...lol

how loud is the tick and where does it come from....i.e. top end, bottom? anyway mine started just like yours.....middle rpm and then one day it sounded like this!!

yeah its kind of loud, no where near like that, it ticks, but no garble like that

How many miles on it ? Any blue smoke from the exhaust ? Oil in the water ? How low was the oil when you put some in ? How long since last oil change ? Where or who did the oil change ?

Well the oil wasent even that low, so i think thats why i got the oil starvation thing, no blue smoke, no oil in the water. about 3300 miles ago. I am changing it again today

Maybe a bad oil pump or something stuck in the screen.Not sure how the internals of these motors are but I've seen it in Chevy V8s before

Ive been reading up and it sounds like the oil starvation thing. But for ***** sake why now. SO I am trying to finish everything else up. All i really need is a ******* hood and exhuast and exhaust manifold.

its prolly the valves you are hearing.. id say do another oil change to be safe.. change the filter too, then look in the old filter, see if its cloged or if any debree is in it..
