My buddy has a 2002 Mazda 626. A friend of ours was looking after the car and lost the ONLY key and remote that we have for the car. We can simply get the key replaced through mazda right now for cheap but we need the five digit code for the door lock that is apparently under the door panel.
We've removed the door panel and found one five digit number etched into the door but it was not correct. We found another longer alphanumeric one on a sticker but it was incorrect as well. This car was also a rental car at some point in its life, is this why we can't find that number?
Please if anyone has a picture or a good description of where we would find this number so we can get a new key, it would be appreciated.
