Dome light doesn't come on unless key is in ignition? Help!

Hey all, I picked up an 02.5 P5 2 weeks ago and found that the dome light does not come on if the car is off. I have it set to door position and would think it should come on when I open my door like every other car? it does not come on though unless I have the key turned on. I know my door switches work because as soon as I turn the key on the light comes on and shuts off when I shut the door. Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks!

Check your room fuse.

That was it! Thank you so much!! It says the MIL will be lit, but it wasn't for me. I didn't even have the fuse in there haha but it fixed all my issues!
