We will be hosting a Mazda Corral @ Belle Isle, looks like GM figured out that they were losing a ton of business by ignoring us! It is a bit pricey, but you know that the MOCO team is working on providing you the most "bang for you buck" at this event.

1. Premium Car Corral Parking on the Island

2. Reserved Seating in Grandstand #2

3. Parade Laps ( subject to track availability)

4. Private Meet and Greets

5. Autograph Sessions

6. Hospitality

7. Charity Raffle

8. Working on getting James Hinchcliffe to come over and speak to all of the Mazda Owners

9. Meet the drivers of the P2-Mazda Sky Activ

10. I-Moto will be racing at this event in World Challenge

We are reaching out to Mazda USA for more enhancements to make the package even better and the Belle Isle folks as well. As it stands now, we are trying to see if you purchae a weekend ticket, they'll throw in a Friday ticket for free. Pricing is as follows:

Saturday or Sunday, Driver $120, companion ticket $80

Saturday and Sunday, Driver $180, companion $120

If you think about this from this perspective, you will see the value:

1. You would have to pay for parking and then pay for transportation to the event.

2. In our package, you get you your track pass, paddock/garage pass, parking and reserved seating all in one. You will receive lunch, Mazda swag and more.....

We'll have more details as they become available, so stay tuned for updates!

Wow. I was pissed last year when GM didn't let us in. I already have hotel reservations for Road America, and I am looking forward to that one, but I'll have to think about going to both. I'll need to see the full schedule to see what days I would want to attend. I also see that Shinola is the official timepiece and timekeeper of the event, which is also cool. I really want one of their watches.

We were pissed too, as we were promised parking on the island two years agon and then GM pulled that stunt! Well, we have it in writing that we'll be allowed to park on the island and we trying to get the final details as to hospitality and parade laps......we'll see you @ Road America as well!

Ok, we are in the process of finalizing the Belle Isle Mazda Corral and this is what we have worked out to date (subject to change).

1. We got the organizers to throw on Friday for Free!, so you can attend Friday for free and park in the corral!2. The first 50 people who purchase tickets, will get a FREE $10 Food Voucher, from MOCO, Mazda USA and Mazda Motorsports

3. Saturday there is a Corral Arrival Parade! All Mazda Corral Attendees would have to meet up at a Specific Location, where we would get an "official escort on to the island".

We are still working on a few other things, we will let you know if and when we hear back in regards to our other proposals. Hope to see a lot of Mazda's on the island!

We will be posting upi an informational flyer up by tomorrow and you can order tickets by tomorrow as well.

Is the Mazda corral not going to be at Belle Isle on Sunday? I was planning to attend Sunday, too, to see the Pirelli World Challenge race. When I click the link to order a ticket, it seems to indicate Saturday only.

there will not be a corral on Sunday, you would have to purchase a separate ticket.

Thanks. I'll just skip Sunday. I would have liked to have seen the Pirelli World Challenge race in person, but I don't feel like going just for that and having to park with the peasants. :) I'll go Friday and Saturday, instead.

Let me reach out to Dave Drimmie, I'll get you a ticket if you want to go on Sunday. We have connections with World Challenge too! In fact, it is where we started hosting corrals!

I'm definitely going. That reminds me, I ordered my tickets from the Belle Isle site more than a month ago and I still don't have the ticket. Is that to be expected? Have they not sent them out, yet?

EDIT: Never mind. I looked up the email from them. It says tickets are mailed after April 15th. Should have it soon, hopefully.

Are we going to have a decent turnout, or are we struggling to get Mazda owners to Belle Isle? I hope we can get a decent showing here, especially since the new combined series isn't at Mid-Ohio.

We're struggling : / only have 6 cars so far plus our meeps = 9 total.

On a cheerier note, details for the Police Escort onto the Island!!

Meet at Chene Park, 2600 Atwater Street between 730a and 745am on Saturday morning. The parking lot is between Dubois and Chene Streets.

The parade onto the Island will depart at 8am.

I'll be there for the police escort Saturday! I'm also going tomorrow, probably showing up around 9:30 AM.
