Classic Mazdas...Post your finds!

To bring an old thread back from the dead, what constitues a classic mazda? Time frame wise?

I would think anything > 20yrs is a classic........Not quite sure.....Wait a sec....that would qualify our 1988 323's as classics come January 2008....woo-hoo.

Hello,

I just found this 1974 RX4 Coupe with only 33K Babied Miles on her. She has all Original paint and shines like new with no scratches, dents, or mods. A 94 year old woman sold it to me and was the original owner.

I also have more pix and a post on it in the Rotary section.

regards

Max

Hello,

Thanks for the compliment. She has been used very little and only seen the road just over ten times this year. I can't wait for next summer.

What constitutes a classic

Hello

Mazda or otherwise officially a car becomes a classic at 25 years of age. However I have heard that two date generally being accepted. 20 years makes it accepted as an antique and 25 makes it a classic. Or was it the other way around. In the USA to import a car with no duties or federal requirements it must be 25 years old or greater since at that point its considered an antique and becomes exempt.

Max

The RX7 is in the rebuild process and the 82 626 is on car domain listed in South Carolina, haven't got to it yet. I need to get some new pics on the Miata.
