Cool! Although I'm honestly suprised it's not faster than a 15.2 in the 1/4 mile. It has more HP than the MSP, it's way lighter, RWD, and it's a 6 speed. My math says that's good for at LEAST high 14's. But then again, C&D guys can't drive.

You have to keep in mind that Miatas were never intended to go drag racing. The rear suspension has alot of anti-squat geometry built in that keeps it settled in cornering, but keeps it from getting off the line very effectively. The 300ZX has the same "problem", which is why they are excellent road racing cars, but you very rarely see them at the drag strip.

I highly highly doubt that it has a 13 second quarter mile. I could see high or mid 14s though.

they didn't push those prototypes very hard. i'm pretty damn sure that the MSM will have below a 14 sec 1/4 mile. the variances in performance on these cars don't happen like the MSP.
