Bought the wrong model switchblade remote?

CX-5 GT AWD w/ Tech, RX-8 GT 6spd w/ 'goodies'
For those who have bought the switchblade remote for their MZ3/MS3 or Miata NC, and is unable to program it, it may be the wrong model. Two manufacturers with two different frequencies are made for the SAME remote.

MZ/MS3 and MIATA NC only:

FCC ID: BGBX1T478SKE12601SKE125-01
Other Numbers:
ETC094LP00396
02586 POSTEL 2006
IC662F-SKE12501
C7419
Mitsubishi Electric

RX-8 only:
FCC ID : KPU41788
IC: 4238A-41525
Visteon No. 41525

So in other words, you may have gotten the Visteon, which is used for the RX-8. What you need is the Mitsu.

My mistake due to lack of research, I have ordered the MZ3/MS3/NC Mitsu remote for my RX-8. Clearly the remote itself doesn't work as I need a Visteon.

If anyone has mistakenly ordered the Visteon for their 3/NC, and would like to trade for a working Mitsu, please let me know. The entire switchblade can be separated in half (remote/key) with a push of a pin, so no need to recut the key. Simply, plug, reprogram yourself, and play.
