Bluetooth seems to be deactivated

I have recently bought a 2010 BOSE CX-9 in auctions and just received it a few days ago. I have an issue with the Bluetooth: though the menu is there (and I can see that the microphones are there), I am not able to do pair the phone. When I press the pick-up or talk button to enable hands-free, nothing happens. And if I try to do this through the panel, after I press Phone and selection button 6 (Settings), I can see the functions on buttons 2-3-4 but they are greyed and nothing happens if I press any of those.
Any idea on how I can reactivate the bluetooth?

Have you tried to delete all previously paired phones?
Do that first, then pair again.

Unfortunately impossible :-( when i go to setting i have pair device, link device, delete device that are greyed. The only active button is device information and it says failed to obtain device information.
I have removed battery, no change. Any hard reset option ? Another idea?
