Bicycle Trunk Mount: Saris Bones

Well I bought this trunk mount because rack mounts are too expensive. They are noisy at freeway speeds. I go cycling with my girlfriend and sometimes with a few buddies so this is the best solution. It cost me about 120 bucks.

High speed safety

I have a similar mount but I am afraid to use it for longer driving distances. I feel it is not safe on the highway at higher speeds/sudden lane changes. So I've been using it for local driving, 35 mph or less. For longer highway trips I take the subwoofer out, fold the rear seats and put the bike inside the car. Which is OK with one bike but it gets difficult when I need to carry two of them.
