Just asking about people on the forums experiences with forged rods. Which ones have you run? Best for bearing clearances, etc? Oliver.....Pauter....or Carillo?

There are a few rod companies doing rods for the Protege and they all for the most part do not have any clearance issues and will use a stock sized bearing. Best bang for the buck is our H-beam rods.

The site says "can be used w/ stock pistons" is there any issues w/ that? Should you, if your changing your rods, change your pistons also? What psi would your stock pistons give out, if you didnt change em?

the reason it says that is because most of the rods will not work with the stock pistons, you need aftermarket ones

so you can use the stock ones with these but if your going through all that trouble you might as well change the pistons at the same time :)

I would also like specfic info like types of bearings that can be used...made in USA?, etc.....

you can use any bearings you want, most of the people are using toga performance bearings
