Do people really listen to Dookie or Nevermind anymore?

I have Dookie in my car now as a matter of fact...but it was collecting dust for quite some time. I never liked the rest of Green Day's albums but I enjoy every song on Dookie. I don't listen to Nevermind that often. When I'm in the mood for Nirvana I usually grab their unplugged album. Again, I never really got into Nirvana's other albums. Heart Shaped box turned me away.

Right now I'm breaking in my Lacuna Coil CD. It doesn't fall under "Best Album Evar" but there are some great tracks in additition to what is played on the radio.

(BTW theice...you are exactly one year and eight days older than me. That means we probably grew up listening to the same stuff.)

Beastie Boys - License To Ill
Nelly Furtado - Whoa! Nelly
Swollen Members - Bad Dreams
Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle
mc chris - Eatings Not Cheating
Marilyn Manson - Antichrist Superstar
Deftones - Adrenaline
Rage Against The Machine - self titled
Raised Fist - Dedication
Metallica - ...And Justice For All

Dream theater - Train of thought
Children of bodom - Hate Crew Deathroll
Green Carnation - Light of day, day of darkness
Liquid Tenstion Experiment - 1 and 2
Nightwish - Once
Immortal Technique - Revolutionary vol. 2

Just a few off the top of my head

nice, I was just curious about Dookie & Nevermind. I always preferred In Utero or Unplugged. I have 2 copies of Dookie, maybe I should pop one of them in...

A list of Greatest Albums of all time should not have s***-ass, 1- hit-wonder bands like Fountains of Wayne on the list.

Are you kidding? If Pink Floyd is anything, they are an Album-Band and practically hold the patent on how to format an album with Dark Side of The Moon. I know you've heard songs off it...so go pick it up at BestBuy, throw it in your CD player and dedicate 45 minutes to see how an album should be. Each side (or the first and last 23 minutes on the CD) tells a story and builds to a climax, and the best part is when it's over...you are back where you started with a beating heart. When you're done absorbing that album, pick up Wish You Were Here and Meddle. Animals is a little dark but still holds a similar format. The Wall has several "hits" but is still best enjoyed in double-album form.

After listening to Pink Floyd albums you will realize that most of the albums posted here simply don't cut it. They contain a few hits and a bunch of filler stuff. If at any point you feel the urge to skip over a song...it's not an album. At least, that is my take on it.

Best Concept Album----NWA-"Straight outta Compton"
