Ball Joint confusion

So i need new ball joints. Im looking on ebay just for pics and prices to try to understand my options... and iam totally confused, some people say you need the whole new control arm. i had my car on the hoist at my mechanics place and he said he can press them out and press new ones in. i need your guys help im gonna post 2 ebay links that are 2 different possibilities. I know buying from ebay isnt a good idea and im probably not just using it for reference. Can they actually be pressed out?

I have never replaced my ball joints so I am unsure. Are your control arms rusted to hell? if so you may want to get the control arms with it?

I replaced the ball joints in my 1st gen Probe GT with ball joints from the parts store. One would not stay in when getting the car aligned. So both got welded in the OE control arms. If I ever have to replace the MSP's then I will simply buy new control arms ready to go.

Any aftermarket parts vendor will list replacement ball joints. Its a crap shoot if they will stay in after pressing them in place. Roll the dice or just get NCAs.

I agree on this simply because you take that extra factor of having them not fit out of the equation.

Control arms are a much better option and by the time you pay for the press in and out and you get new bushings too.
