Backup sensor DIY install?

Anyone know if the backup sensors are able to be DIY installed and if so can they be had for less than the $400 option?

I personally think they are a lot more useful than the rear camera.

Checked out OE installation instructions. WOW, I wasnt expecting it to be that complicated. Most port installed options have the wiring already installed from the factory, which turns it into a relatively easy plug and play affair.
not so for the backup sensors.
