I have the factory alarm in my 08, but not the function, so it looks like there should be a way to enable/disable it, maybe some dip switches in the alarm module?? anyone know where the alarm module is located?
A bigger gripe of mine is all doors have to be closed before the remote will lock the doors. It's more convenient to open the sliding door, lock all the doors, put the key in my pocket, then grab bags or babies.
On my 2008, a press of remote's lock button results in all doors being locked, whether or not they are open. When open doors are then closed, they remain locked.
