ATF Color since 2014 Skyactiv transmissions. Red or Blue?

Greetings Mazda 2 owners. Perhaps this covers other Mazdas too, because I believe that since 2014 Skyactiv engines, all the Skyactiv G units have the same, or similar, Mazda-built transmissions. I have long believed that these Mazdas take a red automatic transmission fluid (forgot the code just now). My Mazda 2 is actually badged as a 2020 Toyota Yaris, but the power plant and everything, is all Mazda2.

My question is about a new spec for ATF as of 2020, being BLUE in color instead of (my expected) RED. In fact, my other Yaris/Mazda2 is a 2019 model, with RED ATF, as I had expected. When we got a 2020 Yaris, the ATF is now prescribed as blue.

Maybe it's just a trivial color change, but our 2020 Yaris/Mazda2, has weird whistling noises upon shifting. Our 2019 has no such issues.

Aren't Mazda automatics usually run on a red ATF? Anyone know why Toyota went to a blue fluid in 2020, with an identical engine?
