Are kits for '06/'07 same as '08/'09? (manual vs. auto climate control)

I have an '09 Mazda5 Sport which has the automatic climate control.

I picked up a new radio from Crutchfield but the kit that came with it is for the '06 / '07 Mazda5 with manual climate control (says so on the package). Will this work for my '09? I just got it about a week ago. The guy at Crutchfield wasn't sure if it would work or not but said they didn't have anything else...

The radio is the JVC KD-S100 (1-din), and I also picked up some speakers.

no, it is not the same, I don't think there is a kit for 08-09 available yet.

Funny, I bought a JVC radio from Crutchfield and it came with a kit that fit perfectly. I have an '09 sport manual transmission with manual HVAC controls. The finish was a little more shiny so I painted it flat black to match the rest of the dash. Here is a copy of part of my order (a little jumbled, but you can figure it out if you try):

Are you in Canada?

The Canadian and US models are a little different, in the US for '09 (probably '08 too) there are no manual HVAC controls, only automatic. Unfortunately, I prefer the manual ones.

And that kit is the same one I received, I just haven't tried to install it yet.

Duh, my hvac is automatic -- three dials.
