Anyscan A30M

I'm thinking about getting an An Anyscan A30M bidirectional scanning tool for general auto maintenance, but especially for use on my 2013 CX-5. Has anyone used one on an early model, or even better a 2013 CX-5 AND what sort of 2-way functionality is available on the tool for the 2013 model?
