Anyone use a Headlight film protector?

I was wondering if anyone here uses a Headlight film protector like xpel or lamin-x or similar and if so, how well it fit?

On my 2000 Passat, the Headlight plastic was very yellow after many years. I polished it and it looked better, but after a while, went back to being yellow agian. On my 2007 GTI, i used a film, and the headlights show no sign of yellowing so far.

I'm using Lamin-X on my fogs and 3M kit on headlights from dealer contracted installation for full front clear bra. It seems like it fits on my CX-5 fairly well. Not sure how on the 5 though.

They gave me a lifetime warranty which I was surprised at since the 3M kit on my G35x was only for 3 years.
