anyone has any experience with installing an alarm/remote starter

hey , i just bought a viper 791xv . my friend was gonna install it for me. he has experience w/ installing alarm system w/ his truck , but hes not sure how much of the car he needs to take apart to install it on a P5, just wondering if anyone has any experience w/ it can let us know...
i've tried to search for it on the forum , but all i get is wiring diagram.

For the remote start, you need to remove the steering column cover to get access to the wires around there. Just 4 screws under the steering column cover.
