anyone ever removed the AC from there P5

yup, a few people have done this. Find the manual....it's not that difficult really, just very time consuming. A good time to do this is when you are replacing your timing belt/accessory belts

yea people usually have removed that and the power steering at the same time i think, it takes away a decent amount of weight while freeing up some power to boot.

Take it in to get the refridgerant evacuated first though.

Not worth doing IMHO.
The compressor has a clutch - only sapping energy with A/C on...

Weight? Not much.

If the system stopped working already - i might. But to pull a good one? Nah.

yeah i wouldn't either....i mean that's the whole point of the clutch really. Plus if you need the extra power just leave it off when you race lols

I am taking it out, to free up space for a special project. I am also working to put in an electric power steering pump

^Huh? Could not that money be better spent? What possible/tangible gain could come from that & justifies the expense and effort?
