ANOTHER will it fit?

I have been looking at some wheels for my wifes 2004 Mz3 but frankly the whole will it fit or not discussions all start to blend together into one big I don't know. (braindead I know the RX8 rims fit, so sort of looking for something close to those specs. I just need a yes or a no, you can flame if you want but throw the answer in there w/ it please. What I'm looking at is an 18x8 w/ an offset of 47, planning on running 225x40's. Any other suggestions on tire size would be welcome if you so choose to throw it in there. The car is not lowered at this time, in the future thinking about a minimal lowering but that will be up to the boss.
