The intake flap valve sticking is not always associated with cold weather. Mine stuck twice when the weather was in the high 70s. Interestingly though it happened within a few hours of me taking the front wheels off. Anyway, after the recall, I hope it doesn't come back.I've had both of those done since March. The CEL that they fix usually only happens when the weather starts to get cold. Some valve or solenoid gets stuck open or closed or something and they replace it. They also flashed me while I was having that CEL fixed.

After the recall service I thought the car was slower, but then remember swapped my TMIC back to stock for the service.
Nope, bright sunny California late summer days. If the problem happens, it sets the CEL which stays set for five drive cycles, then clears the light. The code stays stored in the ECU and can still be scanned out.Was it really humid or raining when the CEL happened? Mine would happen in the morning of a cold rainy day and then the CEL would go away after a day or two.
wow i average 24 mpg with heavy foot...but since i hbave a boost gauge now i can proly get close to 30 by staying in vacuum
Getting this done tomorrow and hopefully it will lean the car out a little but I won't hold my breath.
As a sidenote, if this does help my gas mileage, it would be fantastic. With mixed city/highway driving and keeping the car at right around 70 on the highway (no point in going faster, too much traffic) i am getting around 28.5-29.5 MPG. It would be nice to get into the 30 range...
lucky still..I'm at 21mpg
