Air coming out intake after rebuild

I have a 2000 626 2.5L that I have just rebuilt. Original problem was a spun rod bearing which led to the rebuild. I got the motor back in, turn it over, and I have air coming out the intake. I lined up my timing marks like the manual said but is it still possible I am 180 out? The car will not even spit or sputter. When I put the cams in I lined the dots up together, I set the cam pulley marks to the head and I have the crank lined up with the timing mark on the block. I have checked my spark and I am getting fuel to the rail. I believe my timing is off somewhere but can't figure out where if I set my marks. I think I am 180 out in the cams but like I said I lined the dots up. Any ideas? I reseated my valves and I don't have a bent valve.
