Advantages of 235/60/R18 vs 245/60/R18 snow tires?

Getting ready to replace my winter snow tires. Several of the leading choices have an XL rated tire in 235/60/18 versus a standard load for 245/60/18. Been thinking of dropping down to the 235's as I've heard a narrower tire is better in snow anyway. Anyone used 235/60/R18's on a CX 9 GT AWD? Would appreciate your feedback. Thanks!

I had 235/60/18 Bridgestone Blizzak LM-25 for 4 years, no issues.

I'm running 235/65-18 winters......slightly narrower and taller than stock. Seem to work well.
