Thinking about lowering the M5, but read comments on the previous generation requiring the MS3 adjustable camber arm. Does this approach still work on the 2012 models? Much appreciated!

Since this chassis and suspension are largely unchanged (2012's get beefier rear shocks), yes, if you lower your M5 you will need MS3 or better yet adjustable SPC style rear upper camber arms.

Ok, cool. I thought I read somewhere the SPC style rear upper camber arms were hard to adjust. Something about having to make the adjustment with them uninstalled, but not sure.

Are these what you are talking about?

Much appreciated!

Yes, that is the exact part.

Although many aftermarket manufacturers have not updated their product pages (SPC, Ingalls, Eibach etc.) to reflect the fact that the 2012 uses the same 2006-2010 rear upper camber arm, you can see from the link below that the OEM part number (labelled 28-2A0) has not changed.

Thanks for the great information. Might just do the full coilovers, I was thinking Tein but open to suggestions.
