I'm about to get new tires for my stock rims, and was wondering if there was a difference in ride/handling between the 50 and 55? I'm looking for a more comfortable ride, but didn't want to sacrifice too much handling. Plus how would the 55s look? I don't want it to look like suv tires either. The tires I plan on getting are the Kumho Ecsta ASX, as that's what I have now, I just like the grip, especially in the rain, never hydroplaned on them.

I had Goodyear Eagle RS/A 205/55-16.

Filled the wheel well nicely, looked good in my opinion, but felt soft.

I switched to Toyo Proxes4 205/45 and although I like the firmness, they look too small.

i have fuzion hri's

205/50/16 up front,
205/55/16 in the back

that was by default, not coice, but i loved the drive firmness it gave me

Dunlop Direzza DZ101 in size 215/45R16 works like a charm, and i'll put Michelin X-Ice this winter in size 185/65R14...happy snow bank!! :D
205/50R16 is the way to go...55 wall will be too tall but i've seen a P5 with winter tires in size 205/65R15 and man....i dont know how he did that but it was a really tight fit. Don't know if it rubs but it looks like a lowered ride ...without lowering :p

I run 205/45/16 on my stock rims and on my 5Zigen rims
