Good to know it was easy to install and came with instructionsGot mine delivered today. Took just a couple minutes to install. It is much lighter in weight than I was expecting. It also has storage instructions that seem to imply that it fits under the board that forms the floor of the cargo area.
Are those all weather mats look like the "tray" type?Received the 2017 cargo cover from mazda shop today, no issues and can't beat $164 US for it. Also got the all weather mats and cargo tray which they have on sale too.
Current/new accessories are way more expensive than those from earlier years/generations. In trying to source a cheaper (than $200 +/-) cargo cover for my wife's CX-5 I thought of ordering an earlier year's version.
Do NOT do it.
My daughter has a 2013 CX-5 and we tried to test fit the cargo cover from hers into our 2017. It will not work.
The socket shape as well as the width prevent prior years' versions from working in a 2017.
Just wanted to pass on the word for those of you, like me, who want to get good deals on your accessory purchases. I'm looking on eBay and Amazon now, instead.
When the rear seats are folded down, does the cover/bar span across the back?
Also, it the cover retractable? And, it's easy to install?
Yes it does. Here is a picture:
