I recently purchased a 2017 CX-5 GT, which includes a power lift gate.
I haven't yet put a receiver hitch on the CX-5, but I was thinking of doing so as I have a nice Yakima hitch mount bike/ski rack I'd like to use with this vehicle.
My concern is around the power lift gate.
Is there any good solution here for disabling the lift gate, or otherwise setting it up so that it can't be accidentally opened such that it "whacks" the hitch mount rack and gets damaged?
