Hey all,

This is official. The 2014 Mazda3 Hatchback with the Skyactiv-G 2.0 is rated at 29 city, 40 hwy when paired with the 6 speed manual or, more commonly, 30 city, 40 hwy when paired with the 6 speed automatic. Regardless of which, they both average out at 33 mpg.

In the Edmond's review there is an indication that due to a lack of manual transmissions at launch we will see automatics and later a limited number of manuals for the US market. Guess Mazda is sending those rare manual trans. to Europe where the demand is high.
