2012 3S 2.5L How to increase performance and sound?

:
12 Mazda 3S 6spd.manual 4dr silver
I just traded in my 2010 S3i 4dr 2.0 5 spd manual for a 2012 3S 2.5 4dr 6spd manual. Was hoping for more of a performance bump than what I'm getting. The 2.0 has a higher red line and really seemed to sprint nicely from 0 to 60. I have less than 200 miles on the new car but already ready to modify the car. What should I do to the 2.5L? I want to have a nice sound from the exhaust and better take off 0 to 60. Best intake, exhaust system? I don't want to spend a lot of dough. Is there a H pipe available or a cat eliminator pipe? Should I just eliminate the exhaust with a pipe? Programmer? Etc.

Thanks, all replys are appreciated.

besides a SRI or Exhaust from Corksport I have yet to come across anything for power. I also heard that the transmission can only withstand around 233 lb of torque so I would steer clear of going to far over 200hp. Although its your car not mine and I still have yet to confirm that stat about the trany.

I really want to see a source on this.

Yea i wish I had a source but if I found it do some research and you can find it too. I have seen small turbos on the 2.5 but in the same posts i always read about how it crapped out how they have problems with gears i even watched a video on youtube about a guy with a 2.5 an a small aftermarket turbo and he even said he got about 20,000 miles and then all of a sudden boom engine blew and his car was totalled so do what u gotta do and what you wanna do lol

What guy on youtube? I have my 2.5 turboed with more miles boosted then not, and i'm using a GT28R @ 10psi. no issues. Must of been the tune.

Tranny can hold over 350WTQ, been proven :) along with stock rods :)

EDIT : the 6speed, NOT the auto :)

yea so what about the automatic transmission???? and how many miles you have???? maybe the guy that blew his had 40,000 maybe you only have 5,000 ya know. Also you said "been proven" but again no proof???? And IDK the guy on youtube but i already found five of em while im writing this so its not that hard to find.

All I want is the proof of how much torque the trannsmission can hold, whether manual or auto?

The auto can hold less. that much i know. And as for power, the Tranny can hold plenty, plenty. If my tranny can hold 10psi without issues, hell my clutch doesn't even slip, then it can hold more power then you can make with any amount of bolt ons.
I have 25k miles, 20k of those miles boosted.

Every single video i find on youtube about a turbo mazda 3 2.5.... are MY videos. so if he is reffering to that guy, guess what, my engine isn't dead :p

yep. scrolled few a through youtube pages. all those videos, are my car. lmfao

that is all me lmao. some of the videos are older vids, like when I was using a different oil psi gauge ( red and blue ) and a different turbo ( a smaller one in the older vids )

GOOOOOOOD, you find the guy somewhere in europe that blew his engine after about 20,000 miles. What about the dude that blew his down pipe at night in some meetup during a drag race on some street...(amateur video a bunch of kids). Most of the time on this forum I am at work and unfortunately if I am caught on youtube its a lot worse than just caught on some forum.

What guy in Europe? and was it a 2.5 engine? and if an idiot blew his downpipe, then it wasn't secured right. downpipes dont just "blow off"
Don't worry about it. auto or 6speed can hold up to any amount of bolt ons (except nitro ). if you turbo it, I recommend not on the auto.
