2009 Mazda 5 GT XMradio installation

I bought a Sirius XM standalone radio for my wife's car for Christmas and am looking to install the antenna.
It is a magnetic antenna that goes on the outside of the car and you have to run the cable from the outside to the unit that is on the dash.
Just wondering if anyone has installed one of these and the best placement for the antenna on the exterior as well as the best way to route the cable to the unit.
Any tips or suggestions from people who have done it?
